Avaya Reports Selected Additional Preliminary Third Quarter Fiscal 2022 Financial Results

On the 9th of August, Avaya reported selected additional preliminary financial results for the third quarter of fiscal 2022 ended June 30, 2022. All financial results for the third quarter ended June 30, 2022 and related comparisons to prior periods included in this release are preliminary, have not been reviewed or audited, are based on the Company's estimates and were prepared prior to the completion of the Company's financial statement close process. Report highlights: evenues of $577 million, down 20% year over year in constant currency; OneCloud ARR (Annualized Recurring Revenue) was approximately $838 million, up 12% sequentially and 97% from a year ago; CAPS (Cloud, Alliance Partner and Subscription) was 53% of revenue, up from 40% a year ago; Recurring revenue was 70% of revenue, up from 64% a year ago; GAAP Operating loss was $1,353 million and Non-GAAP Operating income was $20 million.

Micro Focus LoadRunner SaaS Solutions Named a Leader by GigaOm Radar for Cloud Performance Testing Tools Report

On the 28th of July, Micro Focus announced that it has been recognised in the GigaOm Radar for Cloud Performance Testing Tools in 2022. Its solution LoadRunner SaaS received consistently high marks across key criteria and evaluation metrics for cloud performance testing tools. The report highlighted that, “The LoadRunner product line from Micro Focus is still the strongest performer in this market, with the largest set of functionalities.”

Huawei and China Unicom Video Technology Jointly Release Go3D Solution

On the 21st of July, Huawei and China Unicom Video Technology jointly released the Huawei Go3D solution. This solution can automatically output 3D video streams for video-on-demand (VOD) and live TV services. With low 3D content production costs and brand new user experience, this solution injects new impetus into operators' video services. This solution uses an intelligent transcoding server deployed next to the IPTV platform to automatically convert 2D video streams into 3D and then inject them into the IPTV platform. In so doing, this solution can make full use of existing 2D video content to generate 3D videos at low costs. Better yet, it also works for VOD and live TV services, with a conversion latency of just two seconds. On top of that, this solution allows users to enjoy 3D videos on their mobile phones, without needing to invest in costly 3D glasses. The system can also track user's eyes and optimize the videos within 300 ms based on the eye tracking analysis to deliver optimal video experience.

On the 29th of June, Micro Focus announced it has been named a Leader in the 2022 GigaOm Radar for Cloud Observability Solutions. GigaOm lauded Micro Focus for the quality, scalability and flexibility of its cloud and application observability capabilities, as well as the key criteria of reporting and dashboards, user interaction performance, predictive analysis and intelligent data push.
